Genevieve Patchell is a multidisciplinary artist primarily working with clay. A great love of art led her to enroll in Fanshawe College's Fine Art Program, where she briefly studied sculpture, photography, and other mediums, with a primary focus on painting and drawing. Easily bored, she's experimented with many different materials over the years, such as metal, wood, and found objects to make art and jewelry. Making art helps her communicate ideas in a physical way as she often struggles to express herself verbally.

“Influenced by abandonment, artifacts, decay, and a little bit of pop art, I aim to capture the otherwise unnoticed moments that most people pass by. Though it may take a while to see it, there is beauty in everything; the broken and discarded tell a better story than the shiny and new.”
